This is not just another teacher training. This is an invitation to go deeper.
Deeper into your practice. Deeper into your understanding of the body. Deeper into the teachings of yoga. And deeper into what it truly means to teach.
Our 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training is an immersive exploration of yoga —
moving beyond the physical practice of asana and into the knowledge, awareness and skill required to teach with intention, intelligence and authenticity.
We believe great teaching begins with a genuine understanding of the practice.
Throughout the training, we’ll explore what yoga is, how the body moves, how to work with different bodies, and how to create experiences that are meaningful for the people who step onto a mat with you.

We Dive Deeply Into Five Core Modules
Understanding the practice beyond the physical.
Explore the roots and foundations of yoga, including Yoga philosophy, the history and evolution of the practice, the different branches and schools of yoga, Patanjali’s 8 Limbs of Yoga, Pranayama, meditation, mantra, mudra, and subtle body energy including nadis, chakras and koshas.
Develop a deeper understanding of yoga as a holistic practice and discover how these teachings can be thoughtfully woven into your own practice and teaching.
Develop an intelligent and embodied understanding of asana, anatomy and movement. Explore alignment, biomechanics and the way different bodies move and breathe, while learning how to approach postures with awareness, intention and adaptability rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Understand not only what the body is doing, but why — giving you the knowledge to confidently support, modify, adjust and guide your students.
Finding your voice and learning to truly be with others.
Teaching yoga is about so much more than knowing the postures. Explore the power of your voice — how you speak, cue, communicate and use language to guide students with clarity, confidence and intention. Learn and practice how to hold space for others with presence, compassion, awareness, and with ethical teaching considerations. Develop the ability to observe, listen and respond, creating an environment where students feel safe, supported and empowered to explore their own practice. This is about finding your authentic voice and gifts as a teacher, learning to trust yourself and understanding how your presence can be just as powerful as the words you speak.
Learn how to create intelligent classes and communicate them with clarity.
Explore the art and science of sequencing — learning how to thoughtfully build Vinyasa classes with intention, creativity and purpose. Dive into class structure, transitions, peak poses, themes, pacing and breath, while developing the ability to create sequences that feel cohesive, considered and connected.
Alongside sequencing, explore the power of your words and your voice. Learn how to give clear, effective and inspiring cues, when to speak and when to create space for silence, and how to use your voice as a tool to guide, support and connect with your students. Because great sequencing is not just about what comes next — it’s about creating an experience, and knowing how to guide someone through it.
Explore the many ways yoga can meet different bodies and different needs.
Move beyond Vinyasa Yoga and explore practices including Yin Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, the yoga of sound, meditation, and mantra.
Learn how to adapt, modify and create meaningful practices for different stages, bodies and experiences, while expanding your understanding of the many ways yoga can be practised and taught.
This module invites you to broaden your perspective and develop the confidence to meet students where they are. It also includes the business of yoga – what it truly looks and feels like to be a working yoga teacher in 2027 and into the future.
A Training Rooted in Practice
This training is led by Phoebe Malone and Megan Gamble, two senior yoga teachers who
share a deep love, respect and passion for yoga — both on and off the mat.
Our approach is grounded in experience, curiosity and a genuine desire to keep learning. There will be time to practise, question, explore, observe, teach and be taught. You’ll be encouraged to develop your own voice as a teacher rather than simply replicate someone else’s.
Because yoga is not about creating perfect shapes. And teaching yoga is not about having all the answers. It is about developing the knowledge, awareness and presence to meet yourself (and your students) where they are.
You Belong Here
You do not need to have been practising yoga for decades or be able to do a handstand.
And you don't need to know exactly what you want to do with your training when you begin.
Anyone Can Attend
Whether you’re completely new to yoga, have been practising for years.
Whether you are already a teacher wanting to deepen your knowledge and refine your teaching, or simply feel called to immerse yourself more fully in yoga — you are welcome.
And Perhaps Most Importantly
You don’t have to want to teach yoga afterwards. This training is for anyone who wants to understand yoga more deeply.
For anyone who wants to understand their own body and practice, who feels curious about the teachings and wants to explore them beyond the surface.

The Journey
Across our training dates, we’ll create space not only to learn, but to integrate — allowing
knowledge to become embodied through practice, teaching and experience.
Training Dates
Six in-person weekends from Friday to Sunday including one longer four-day immersion at Salt & Wood over the King’s Birthday weekend in June. The immersion is an opportunity to step further into the experience as a group, and will enable us to fully utilise the facilities at Salt & Wood – our sauna, gardens, and ocean. Together we will practice, learn, connect and immerse fully in the teachings.
Woven throughout the training will be a small online component of live and pre-recorded lectures.

Meet Your Training Leaders
Phoebe and Megan are thrilled to be joining forces to bring a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training to Ocean Grove. Together, they hope to create a space where students can deepen their practice, discover their authentic teaching voice and build confidence to share yoga.
Phoebe Malone
Ocean Grove-based Vinyasa, Yin and prenatal Yoga teacher and co-owner of Salt & Wood.
Her yoga journey began while volunteering in the Philippines, where she taught yoga to amputees. This experience sparked a deeper interest in yoga as a practice that can be adapted to meet people exactly where they are, and ultimately led Phoebe to complete her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and further specialise in amputee yoga, prenatal yoga and Yin.

Before becoming a yoga teacher, Phoebe spent 20 years working as a healthcare professional in prosthetics and orthotics. Her understanding of anatomy, alignment and biomechanics brings a unique perspective to her teaching, with a passion for how bodies move and how yoga can be adapted for different abilities. Phoebe’s Vinyasa classes are thoughtfully and creatively sequenced, balancing flowing movement with a considered approach to alignment, breath and awareness. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to yoga and encourages students to explore modifications, develop body awareness and find ways of making the practice work for them.
Phoebe brings warmth, humour and a love of movement to her teaching. She creates welcoming classes that encourage students to challenge themselves, stay curious and enjoy the practice. For Phoebe, teacher training is an opportunity to develop the practical skills and deeper understanding needed to teach yoga safely, intelligently and authentically. She is passionate about creating space for students to deepen their personal practice, explore the roots and philosophy of yoga, and develop confidence in their teaching.
Megan Gamble
Melbourne based teacher trainer, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga teacher, and studio director of Yoga Spot Fairfield.
With more than 15 years of dedicated yoga practice and study, Megan brings a depth of knowledge, experience and genuine passion to supporting the next generation of yoga teachers. Having led multiple 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings and international retreats, Megan is an experienced facilitator and expert space holder. She creates learning environments that are inclusive, nurturing and mindful, while encouraging students to develop confidence, curiosity and their own authentic voice as teachers.

Megan’s teaching and facilitation draw on a rich and diverse body of knowledge. She’s passionate about sharing the roots and traditions of yoga and how to bring yoga philosophy to life in a contemporary class setting. Her areas of expertise include Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga, subtle body energy including chakra theory and TCM meridians, functional yoga and adapting practices for different bodies, hands-on assists, sequencing and cueing, and the business aspects of teaching yoga.
Megan also has a deep love for Bhakti Yoga and she brings mantra and harmonium into her teaching as an embodied and accessible way to experience yoga beyond the poses. For Megan, teacher training is about more than learning how to lead a class. It is an opportunity to deepen your personal practice, understand the roots and philosophy of yoga, develop practical teaching skills and discover the unique qualities each person brings to the role of teacher.
Guest Facilitators
The training will also be supported by a wonderful group of guest facilitators, each bringing their own knowledge, depth and experience to the course.
Ryan Mannix, Nicky Grimsdale, Caz Pringle-Bowden, and Kat Harris will join Megan and Phoebe throughout the training, offering students the opportunity to learn from a diverse range of experienced teachers and practitioners and to experience different perspectives, approaches and areas of expertise within the yoga tradition.
