At Salt & Wood, we offer members an opportunity to experience movement and wellness in a welcoming, serene and private space.  

 

With the highest quality of equipment, experienced and knowledgeable teachers, we have built a studio full of passion, spirit and calming energy.

Touch and Assists

Some of our classes offer the option of hands-on physical assists.

 

These classes will only be when the teacher has undergone extensive training in this area and is qualified to provide these assists. In these particular classes there will be an assist card discretely placed next to each mat. The aim of these cards is to empower you to choose if you would like hands on assists during a class (yes) or if the voice of your teacher is enough to guide you during that particular class (no). Whatever your decision we will respect your boundaries

STRONG

45 minutes

Empowering. Intentional. Resilient.

STRONG is Salt & Wood’s signature strength training program designed to build confident, capable, and sustainable strength through intentional, progressive movement. Open to both men and women, STRONG supports all levels—from beginners to experienced movers.

Each 45-minute coach-led session includes joint preparation, key movement patterns, and a guided recovery. Sessions follow a 4-week training block structure to help your body adapt, build strength safely, and stay engaged without plateauing.

Expect improved mobility, body control, confidence, and injury resilience—without needing a gym.

Available exclusively to Salt & Wood members on Mat or Wellness Memberships. 

You can attend any classes at any point (one class per week or all four!),  you don't need to join at the start of a 4-week block.

Yoga Flow

45 or 60 min

Vinyasa. Energising. Fluid. 


This class combines a series of strong and powerful postures, targeting physical strength and flexibility throughout the entire body. This class will have a mixture of Vinyasa ('movement with breath') elements as well as meditation and pranayama. Each pose flows smoothly into the next, and the transitions are as important as the poses themselves. This fluid style can vary in intensity, from slow and gentle to fast-paced and vigorous, depending on the focus of the practice.

 

These classes have a clear focus on alignment and breath and they aim to  increase physical and muscle awareness and leave you feeling energised and nourished. 

 

Flow is a medium to high-intensity class. Expect to get your heart rate up in this uplifting class. 

 

Perfect for all levels of experience.

Slow Flow

45 or 60 min

Hatha. Lengthening. Mellow.

 

Slow flow yoga places emphasis on breath awareness (pranayama) and alignment, creating a meditative and calming experience. It’s ideal for both beginners, pre & post natal pregnancy, and more experienced yogis who want to refine their movements, focus on their breath, and cultivate mindfulness in their practice

 

While maintaining the flow characteristic of flow yoga, each transition is executed with deliberate control, holding poses for a bit longer than in a typical flow class. This approach helps build strength, improve balance, and enhance flexibility.

Perfect for all levels of experience.

Yin Yoga

45 min

Relaxing. Stillness. Mindful.
 

Yin is a restorative class to unwind and de-stress. Yin Yoga is a practice that is designed to stretch the body and work into connective fascial tissue and is a balance to the more dynamic Yang practices. A powerfully therapeutic class, Yin is ideal for highly active people – runners, cyclists, regular yoga practitioners - and anyone wanting to release tightness in their body.

 

In a Yin class, floor poses are held for 3-5 minutes, each targeting joint and ligament stress and enabling muscles to soften. In holding poses for longer periods, Yin Yoga cultivates a sense of surrender. You will leave feeling lighter, more flexible, and more open in your body, mind and heart.

Mat Pilates

45 min

Focused. Precision. Breath.

 

A fusion of Joseph Pilates' original exercises and Salt & Wood teachers own interpretation, mat pilates classes involve a series of controlled, low-impact movements that target various muscle groups, particularly the abdominal muscles, lower back, hips, and thighs. 

 

  • Mat Pilates emphasizes precision, concentration, and breath control, making it both a physical and mindful workout.

  • Mat Pilates uses body weight and sometimes small props like resistance bands, rings, balance pads or light hand weights to add variety and/or intensity.

 

Pilates is available for new and experienced Pilates lovers and we highly encourage yogis to add Pilates to your practice. 

Sound

45 min

Comfortable. Healing. Relaxing.


Lay back, be cosy and comfortable and be guided into relaxation with a sound bath.

This is a meditative practice where members are immersed in sound waves produced by various instruments, such as crystals or Tibetan singing bowls, drums, or chimes. The vibrations from these sounds can help guide the body and mind into a deeply relaxed state, promoting healing and balance. 

 

We suggest attending Yin if available beforehand for a entire body and mind experience or soley Sound is a lovely option too. Lie down and allow the sounds to "wash" over you...you might even hear the flow of the ocean or birds in our Zen garden.

Prenatal Yoga - 4 Week Series

FOUR WEEK PROGRAM TUESDAYS 11 - 12 AM

Join our supportive community and experience the benefits of prenatal yoga. This 4 week program of gentle flow classes, tailored specifically for pregnant women, will focus on:

 

  • Gentle stretching: To improve flexibility and prepare your body for childbirth.

  • Breathing techniques: To reduce stress and promote relaxation.

 

Our qualified instructors provide a caring and holistic approach, guiding you through each pose and offering modifications to suit your individual needs. Perfect for pregnant women at any stage throughout their pregnancy.

Mums & Bubs Yoga - 6 Week Series

Nurturing. Bonding. Supporting.

 

Reconnect with your body and bond with your baby through gentle yoga. This 6-week program of gentle classes, is tailored specifically for new mums and their babies, aged 6 weeks to walking.

 

  • Physical recovery: Regain strength and tone post-birth.

  • Emotional well-being: Reduce stress and boost mood.

  • Bonding: Strengthen your connection with your baby.

  • Social connection: Meet other new mums and share experiences.

 

Our classes offer a safe and supportive space to practice yoga with your little one.

Perfect any mum with a baby aged from 6 weeks to crawling.
