Monthly Evening

Every month we will be hosting a community event for our new members and current members to come to the studio, have a cup of tea with us and chat about their wellness journey.

 

This is a great opportunity to meet the founders of Salt & Wood: Phoebe and Kat as well as to meet some of the teachers and other community members of Salt & Wood.

Saturday 21 June

11.00 - 12.15pm

$40 per person

We are excited to share with you a class covering the fundamentals and key principles of Pilates, to help you feeling more confident in your practice the next time you step onto the mat.

 

This class will be tailored to a beginner level but all are welcome to come and learn. We will go through Pilates principles like breathing, centring & ribcage placement, along with the fundamental moves and techniques. Klara will assist each individual with finding the right position and engagement through the targeted muscles. This will help to enhance your Pilates performance as well as preventing injuries.

 

This will be a slow paced class to cover our key principles thoroughly and ensure each individual understands and feels confident in their practice.

Sunday 22 June

Leave this special event with improved running technique, tools to prevent injury prevention and a deeper sense of empowerment and confidence in your own body. Participants will be guided through two areas with a post run snack and refreshments provided. 

 

RUNNING FUNDAMENTALS: Lead by Erica - Senior Running Coach and owner of “Ocean Grove Run Club,” you will be provided with techniques for activating key muscle groups, tools for maintaining running efficiency, diaphramatic breath-work training and an understanding of the importance of recovery days for your overall performance. Wear your runners and running attire and practice these techniques throughout the session.

 

YOGA for RUNNERS FUNDAMENTALS: Lead by Phoebe - Senior Yoga teacher and owner of “Salt & Wood,” Phoebe will guide partipcants through a 30 minute yoga class specifically designed to teach stretches, poses and breathwork to assist runners and prevent injury and improve recovery.

 

Suitable for runners of all levels from beginners to running addicts and suitable for anyone - whether you have been to a yoga class or perhaps this will be your first time.

Join Eliza for a special practice of 108 Sun Salutations—broken down into small, gentle rounds, with time to rest, reconnect, and move at your own pace. This ancient ritual is often done to mark change, set intentions, or simply come back home to yourself. You don’t need to be an advanced yogi to take part. Whether you complete 10 or all 108, this is your practice. It's a chance to breathe deeply, move mindfully, and feel supported by a community moving alongside you. Eliza will guide you every step of the way—just bring yourself & a water bottle, exactly as you are.

Join Dr. Hannah Watson, TCM, for an immersive afternoon of unwinding. Hannah will guide you through a yin yoga practice, intentionally connecting with the meridians relevant to the season. You will also receive an individualised, mini-accupuncture treatment to encourage deeper relaxation; acupuncture is known to calm the nervous system and reduce stress hormones. Weaving in Yoga Nidra, a form of guided meditation, this 90-minute session offers the nervous system reset you've been looking for. Hannah brings her 15 years of experience in Chinese medicine to this unique event, providing optimal support for your nervous system. Maximum 8 for this intimate special event.

Join Eliza as we exploring the foundational principles of Ashtanga yoga.

 

We will cover the basics of Ujjayi breath, Bandhas (energy locks), and experience a taster of the Primary Series.

 

This session is perfect whether you're new to yoga, looking to deepen your existing practice, or curious about yoga philosophy.

 

Suitable for all levels, with modifications offered throughout. Come ready to move, learn, and connect with your breath and body.

Designed to bring the community together through movement and music, the Dance Club is a vibrant space where all levels are welcome to let loose, connect, and celebrate the joy of dance. Whether you're here to groove, learn, or simply have fun, each session promises high energy, great tunes, and an inclusive atmosphere.

 

Come solo or with friends—just bring your love of rhythm and a readiness to move.
